One of the interesting things that happened to me in 2019, and probably to other people as well, is that I got unfriended by some people. This is no earth shattering news. Social media is not the place that should define our value or worth in the world. What it did was cause me to take a step back and look at the content of what I post online.
I considered that we will never be accepted by everyone, and that really is ok. I do care how I impact other people. When I went back and looked at my posts, it turns out that I really do believe the things I share. I believe if something helps me or speaks to me, then perhaps it will help someone else as well.
I Post What I Believe
- I really do love God, and that is the center of my whole life.
- I actually am this annoyingly positive, in real life too.
- Scriptures and music are two of the things that get me through life.
- I have a pretty good sense of humor, so sometimes a little nonsense is needed.
- I believe in integrity in relationships.
- I love my kids and appreciate that they are not jerks.
- I believe in marriage, it was God’s idea and I am tired of seeing the enemy destroy families.
- I love the Single Woman’s (Mandy Hale) posts. She is a wonderful author and she speaks to the heart of real women.
- I post about dreams, goals, and purpose because we need to know why we were put on this planet.
As it Turns Out…
So my conclusion to the matter is that 2020 will just be continued authenticity. This is who I am. This is what I am called and created to be. Fearfully and wonderfully imperfect. The world needs what you and I have inside of us. There is great purpose in our individual gifts, talents, and unique expressions.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful I know that full well.
Psalm 139:14
I pray that you find and live in your own authentic life flows and rhythms. I hope that 2020 will be a year that we reach a little higher and even dig a little deeper and express all that God has inside of us.
-
- Continued authenticity.
- Radical faith.
- Artistic awakenings.
- Spiritual renewal and revival.
- Clearer vision.
Happy New Year
