God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this;
that power belongeth unto God.

This verse is so alive in my heart. It is the intersection of two thoughts that God was circulating in my mind all day. This won’t be a long post, I just would like to leave you with the same encouragement that I received today.
When God Echoes
It is a beautiful thing when God repeats Himself to us. It is not always that we didn’t hear Him the first time. Often we did hear what He was saying and we forgot or moved away from that message. Other times we might have thought we heard something and maybe we were unsure. God will echo a message that He knows we need confirmation or just reinforcement.
I have found for myself, those echoes are usually to reinforce my faith about something. I was having a conversation with one of my sisters in Christ yesterday about some of the plans that God has written in my heart. I had a vivid dream last night about the exact thing. This is one of the ways God speaks to me. Dreams have become very prophetic in my life over the past decade. He speaks to us sometimes through scripture, sermons, songs, and even other people. When it is from God, it will line up with the Word of God, the Bible.
Power Belongs to God
The second part of the encouragement I received today was hearing in my heart over and over, “I am solving problems you have not even faced yet.” Wow! I know God does this, but there are some big goals that God has placed in my heart that require total God intervention. There are also prayers and petitions that I have concerning other people that are beyond my ability to change.
It is so encouraging to know that not only does God work in the now, but because…
- He fills all space and time… (Psalm 139:7-10)
- He is from everlasting to everlasting… (Psalm 103:17)
- He answers before we call… (Isaiah 65:24)
We can rest assured that He is indeed solving problems we have not even faced yet!
So tonight I pray that if there is a challenge you are concerned about that you will rest in the fact that POWER BELONGS TO GOD! He is working things out before you get there. If there is something that you need to do or a word that you feel God has spoken to you, listen for His echo. He will confirm what He has spoken.
